The M28 was developed by the Finnish Civil Guard as an improvement on the M27 rifle being developed by the Army. The Civil Guard wanted a better rifle and took a look at the Army’s M27 during its development. They thought they could improve on some things or do them more economically. From what I can tell this barrel is dated 1968 just a few yrs after I was born.
