This is a refurbished rifle all numbers are matching , the bore is very bright and shining, it is calbire in the british 303 made in 1947 . As you can see even the rubber on the butt is in geat condition for the age of the rifle looks like it did not see much action in its day. It does not have the original canvas sling but it has a nice leather replacement sling.

A bit of history on this very popular rifle:  By 1942, the British began work on a shortened, lightened rifle, especially for troops in Southeast Asia fighting the Japanese. The final result in March 1944 became the No. 5 Mk 1, unofficially nicknamed “Jungle Carbine.” Weight fully loaded with sling was eight pounds even and overall length a handy 39.5 inches.
